I got the sweetest email awhile back from a girl from Pennsylvania named Carissa. She said she works at a thrift store- and saw some items she would love to send me- that looked like me.
Items that looked like I might like them, that is.
Anyways- so a few days later I got THIS BOX in the mail. I was just so touched that a complete stranger would take the time to mail out a thoughtful gift to a cyber friend. It was so fun to open!
Here is what was in the box.
Now you`re gonna laugh.
Remind you of anything you have seen before?
She even sent me a green tin box EXACTLY like the one I redid before. Love it.
And the girl figurine should be friends with this one.
Awwwww, I fell in LOVe with the bird and eggs she sent!
If I ever get time- I want to redo the stuff she sent for another giveaway… but these eggs and cute birdie… I am keeping!
The baby bird has found a home in the crock of sticks. Another bird got to sit on the eggs.
They fit in GREAT with my new spring themed mantle!
Inspiration came from here. (Below)

Wow. Her`s makes mine look crappy.
Oh, well, in my small little world… mine makes me smile too. 🙂
The day I got Carissa`s box- when Elle woke up from her nap later, she walked downstairs, and looked BLEARILY up at the mantle and said,
“Momma, you got a new birdie!”
Yup, she don`t MISS A THING.
(Her hair flower was made with this pattern from The Purl Bee)
And I`m going to add one SSS (Super Simple Saver) from Kendra Zimmerman! Thanks a million for sending me it, Kendra! 🙂
“Here’s a little time saver that I couldn’t live without. Invest in a little dust buster. I use it for EVERYTHING. Before company comes I go around the house with it….bathroom rugs, etc… It’s also great especially if you have children. You don’t have to get your big vacuum cleaner out for all those cracker crumbs, and it’s so much faster than a broom and dust pan”.
