Mom`s Herb Gardens.

The other day I was over at my mom`s place and was just overcome with a desire to photograph my mom`s 3 little herb gardens.

Luckily, I had my camera along- so this dream came to fruition.

Aren`t they so cute?

She has 3 little herb gardens, all the same size, all with Railroad Ties around them.

I`m not really sure if ‘Railroad Ties’ really should be in caps- but with how awesome they are, they so deserve it.

(If you desire to see any of these pictures better, just click on the photo, to view larger.)

Here`s a better shot of them in a row.

Makes me all dreamy and happy.

I never had my own yard before this spring- and so I am a little well… Gone Green.

The birdhouse! On a curved stick! I want it.

I really like the weathered sign behind it too.

I wish I was cooler, and could rattle off the names of these lavender flowers.

Why do I dig purple flowers so much?

(Pun intended! Pun intended!)

I think, because my house it light green- and purple looks really nice with it.

Weathered anything is great- a house made from old window panes is better.

A birdhouse and more lavender flowers= loveliness.

Watering can is fun.

Chicken- not real. My mom does have tons of chickens though.

Chickens may be “country”- but they are super stylish to me. 🙂

The green makes me think summer is coming!

The last garden.

The first garden.

Love the “goods” on the barn wall.

Well, if you wonder where I got my love for funky, old things?

Well, now you know.

Have a LOVELY Weekend, YOU…

your mom has def got it gone on with “herb”!!
and those purple flowers? Chives I think –unless you were talking about the ones beside them— and Jenny, if you want to feel good about your gardening abilities? Plant some chives. they cannot die. they come back every year. even in the arcticness of Wisconsin!! and
they keep spreading and whatnot. and they look so cool in an old mossy pot. so enough about Mr. Chives

Your mom’s garden is totally swoon-worthy! I am in love! All those creative touches, the window-pane house, the signs, the birdhouses, I love it ALL! Your mom is a talented lady!

I was thinking the very thing that you wrote “Now I know where she gets her creativity from!”

Those herb gardens are quite beautiful. And I was glad to hear that chives would spread by themselves and that you cannot kill them. Now that’s the kind of plant for me!
