Family Reunions.

Well, last weekend we were deep in the hills of Kentucky at a family reunion at Camp Nathaniel. A gorgeous place. We slept in a little cottage with  air conditioning and a very comfy bed.

We had some good fellowship, and I got some awesome shots.

Here, let me share them with you.

The traditional 4 generation picture. Perfection.

The Great grandmother: “Julia, honey, is that Rose Musk Jubilee you`re wearing? … (inhales) you smell so nice.”

The Grandmother: “But Joe, I could swear you still have the lens caps over your lens…”

The Mother: “Heeee stop! Grandma.  You have to lower your arm- ticklish area”.

Laila: Ooh, once I get a hold of that little first and a half, once removed, on my mother`s side, cousin of mine.. I`ll teach her all about what happens when you touch my sippy…

Well, anyways, use your imagination. None of us really talk like that. My mom most certainly never uses the word “swear” that I have ever heard.

My captioning skills are a bit rusty.

Here`s a GEM of a family picture.

The Father: “I shall remain mum. My lips are sealed. You should too.” (pinches wife HARD behind her back)

The Mother: (using sweet company voice) “Cousin Dwight… have you just arrived? How your children are growing. My this is a delightful day!”

Laila: “Little Cousin, COME ON! Really. Touchin` my sippy… AGAIN?”

And here is one that you can  let your imagination run wild with. I can`t really caption it because I`m not sure of all their names…

My grandma is the one on the far left. These are her siblings, or spouses of.

I especially like the lady in blue top, hushing the lady in pink, who is laughing it up with the fun looking lady in blue skirt.

These people were all so sweet.

And before I go, just a few more… from the pack.

Somehow Aunt Martha always knew- her nephew Kevin was looking out for her.

Uncle Clarence: “Here Jacinta, try ringing the bell for good luck”.

Jacinta “Isn`t it more about just calling people to dinner?”

Once again, cousin Becky was caught being too exclusive with her boyfriend.

She was the kind of mom- that just couldn`t let a good joke go unlaughed at.

“Alright cloverleafs in place, ladies? Okaaay, SNAP, let`s TAKE this picture!!”

Well, I know most people would have deleted these misfit pictures.

But I like Awkward- the best. 🙂

I had to chuckle at the picture of the group of elderly folks! Notice how much social interaction is going on among the women v/s the men! We never change do we!?
