My husband says my posts about parties are low on his list of favorites. In that case, I guess I need to keep perfecting my half written posts about: Tales of life in the classroom and Biking to a cool place in a tight outfit.
(He has other interests but teaching and biking came to mind first.)
But anyway… here is a short post about a par-tay.
My mom and 2 sisters all have spring birthdays. So I had this bright idea to throw something in the back yard. The bright idea of checking the weather before setting up, never occurred to me. Blame mom brain. So I was feverishly setting up, working myself into a mini frenzy with my girls all over, carrying stuff from all over, food cooking inside and, you know. I noticed the sky was getting darker and darker. I was just a-praying inside, the same thing over and over, but I`m guessing God was thinking, you have Weather.com for a reason.
To make these birds, you only need kabob sticks and a sheet of music (and glue).
No time to tend to children. We`ll dress her as soon as we can.
There they are. Someone finally got them dressed.
Well, the ending is that is rained and stormed in a way that I have not seen in a long time. The kind of sky that turns dark like it`s 8:00 at night…
So I hauled it all indoors. We watched the rain, ate, and had the coziest party ever.
I love rain. What I would not give for another rainy day like that…
