Rest, Peace, and Comfort in Jesus.

Mark 6:31 And He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while.” For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.

Isaiah 57:1-2 The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart; And devout men are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous man is taken away from evil, He enters into peace; They rest in their beds, Each one who walked in his upright way.

Psalm 23 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. Thou dost prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; Thou hast anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Exodus 33:14 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. “Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. “For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.”

Psalm 37:7 Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 4:9-11 There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall through following the same example of disobedience.

What emotions do these photos evoke in you?

I don`t know why, but I felt lead to post a few promises from Jesus today. I think concentrating on verses like this: can slay fear, worry, and stress. Satan is the author of those emotions. Maybe you can claim one of them today. And always remember– sadness, feeling down, and experiencing disappointments is not wrong. They are natural emotions. Jesus wants to experience those with/for us too.

Rest in HIM today.

I hope some of that made sense.

That`s all.

Love, Jenny

Thanks for sharing these beautiful and calming verses. I love how you pointed out that some of those emotions are not wrong, but it’s how you deal with them when they do come. We need to take them to Jesus. That’s something I’ve been working through lately. Another thing that caught my attention is “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” – the WITH THANKSGIVING was just recently pointed out to me. It totally changed my prayer life from pleadings to thank you Jesus that you know what I’m going through. Thanks again for sharing. You are a blessing.

The picture of the the bottles tied to feet for shoes… breaks my heart, but something that we see so much here, things just like that – all the time!
